Seeking a nurse that specializes in providing direct person nursing care. The ideal candidate is flexible and innovative with excellence in communication, strong leadership, a critical thinker, problem solver, excellent customer service and efficient organizational skills. Must relate professionally with patients, residents, staff, family members, referral sources, physicians and vendors.

Qualifications include a current SC nursing license, in good standing.

Experience in long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

EPARTMENT: Nursing Service

SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing

WORK AREA: Assigned Nursing Unit

PURPOSE: This position may assist the Director of Nursing Service in assessing resident care needs and may assist in implementing appropriate action. May assist in implementing nursing policies and procedures. May assist in supervising staffing for the nursing department and may assist in supervising the quality of nursing care provided to residents.

WORKING HOURS: Hours of work are 0 to 80 hours per pay period plus or minus as business needs and assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

THIS PERSON REPORTS TO: The Director of Nursing or designee.

HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY: Responsible to adhere to HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY guidelines and safeguard protected health information.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Well-lighted, well-ventilated nursing units and rooms. May stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the work day. May have to deal with emotional disturbances of residents, residents family and staff. May be subject to falls, burns from equipment, scratches, and kicks from confused residents.
