SUMMARY:

As a Product Engineer in the Power Management Group, you will be part of a focused team that develops, qualifies, and releases innovative new Power Management semiconductor products. Product Engineers drive novel solutions to complex problems with a focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They harness statistical methods and are data driven problem solvers. The position focuses on new product introductions, improving yields, and maintaining quality for products released to production. You will have the opportunity to work closely with global Design, Applications, Test, Packaging, Reliability, Operations and Quality Engineering teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct ownership of Product Engineering deliverables for new product introduction (NPI) and product sustaining efforts.
  • Drive NPI ATE test plan development with Design and Test Engineers. This includes optimizing limits, guard-bands, and outlier controls in production test plans for both wafer probe and package test.
  • Compile and analyze data using common statistical tools and techniques (Cpk, SPC, ANOVA).
  • Effectively present key results and recommended actions from the data analysis to internal and external customers.
  • Disposition test yield excursions using data analysis tools and Product Engineering skills.
  • Practice continuous improvement and yield optimization by tracking test parameters, identifying outliers, uncovering correlations, and troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
  • Manage NPI product qualifications, and support Quality Engineers on failure analysis, customer returns and alternate vendor sourcing approvals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required. Master’s degree preferred.  
  • 12+ years of Semiconductor Experience within Product or Test Engineering required.
  • Experience with power management, PMIC, motor control, battery management integrated circuits highly preferred. 
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis methods and software required (Spotfire, JMP, Excel, etc.).
  • Flexibility to attend regular evening and early morning meetings as needed to interface with global teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills and a self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to interface effectively and to build consensus with coworkers at every level of the company.
  • National and international travel may be required, with no more than 4 weeks per year expected.
