About the Role:
The Regional Vice President, Engineering will be primarily responsible for the leadership of the technical team including both pre-sales and delivery within the East region. This position will assist the General Manager with overseeing capacity planning and hiring for all regional engineering resources
What You’ll Do:
Key oversight of regional engineering:
- Driving engineering standards and processes for the full duration of the sales lifecycle.
- Ensure strategic partner engagement at field level.
- Work with the General Manager to enhance profitability of engineering practice.
- Work with the Vice President, Sales to ensure engineering support of regional sales motions.
- Ensure engineering utilization metrics are defined and met.
- Oversee engineering support to customers throughout relationship lifecycle.
- Assist and lead technical segments of the sales cycle.
- Ensure integration of Trace3 business units (BU) and offerings into local sales campaigns by regular cadence and planning with BU leads (Security, Data, Cloud, & Services)
- Participate in strategic account planning exercises with each account team to maximize engineering input and influence on the client environment and deals.
- Coordinate with other RVPE’s to develop technical solutions for company and region.
- Work with Services Sales and Delivery leaders to identify and position Services opportunities for clients and to ensure overall technical success of delivery work.
- Foster development opportunities for regional engineering team.
Qualifications & Interests:
- Minimum of 15 years leadership experience working with technical sales teams.
- Solid management experience and track record in motivating and building strong teams; able to influence and inspire commitment.
- Proven experience in strategic thought leadership.
- Provide learning opportunities for the department to expand portfolio of services.
- Excellent understanding of business environments and challenges of IT operations in an enterprise level corporation.
- Ability and track record of developing innovative solutions and reference architecture approach.
- Strong understanding of how clients use technology to meet business objectives.
- Strong financial and business acumen with understanding of a multi-faceted business operation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to present technical issues to a non-technical audience.
