OnsiteCollins Aerospace is currently searching for an Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team in Richardson, TX.
This is an ONSITE position located in Richardson, TX. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.
Job Summary
This position is for a highly motivated manager to lead a team of 10-15 Electrical Engineers whose charter is to develop Electrical designs for Mission Systems. This team develops designs for multiple, interconnected nuclear-hardened LRUs which are critical components for the survivable, endurable, reliable airborne command, control and communications platform required by our customers. We are looking for ambitious individuals who take pride in their contributions to the defense and security of the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and accountability for team and project performance
- Demonstrate a passion for coaching and mentoring
- Possess Electrical Engineering skills, critical and innovative thinking, strategic planning, and an ability to build and motivate a team
- Identify, recruit, retain, and develop engineering talent across the spectrum of entry-level to very experienced engineers
- Build and leverage networks within the department and across Raytheon Technologies
- Communicate well across Engineering, Program Management, internal leadership, and customers
- Conduct project leadership over the entire life cycle including bids, planning, requirements capture, design, build, integration, and verification.
- Participate as a management focal, responsible for hiring plans and staffing support of several programs supported in the business unit
- Strives to spend 50% of week performing technical tasks and project coaching. Remaining time spent on people management, staffing, and career development
Basic Qualifications:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. MUST be able to obtain a TS DoD Clearance if not already obtained.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Previous Hands-on experience with Circuit card design
Preference will be given to candidates that possess the following:
- Possess an active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance Candidate selected will be subject to a program security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
- Prior management experience of a technical team and proven experience working in a cross functional environment interfacing with Systems, Mechanical, Test, and Software Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in PCB circuit design and digital design
- Practical experience in all phases of Engineering product development; pursuit, design, new product introduc
