Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Chief Information and Digital Office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Workday HRIS Analyst to join our growing HR Technology team. This role will focus on configuring and improving our Workday HCM application and ensuring the system is optimized for HR processes such as compensation, performance, recruiting, succession, and more. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Workday or other HRIS applications and a strong desire to learn and grow within the Workday ecosystem. You will work closely with senior configurators, business analysts, and functional consultants to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our business needs.
This position can be performed as a virtual telecommuter
Previous experience with HRIS or HR Processes Required
Responsibilities:
Assist in the configuration, testing, maintenance, and day-to-day administration of the Workday HRIS system.
Manage employee data within Workday, ensuring accuracy and integrity of records across various HR functions (e.g., recruiting, onboarding, compensation, talent management).
Assist with Workday enhancements and integration of new features and functionality through testing and collaboration with IT and HR teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating more complex problems to senior team members or external vendors.
Perform system audits to ensure data consistency and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Collaborate with HR teams to streamline and improve HR processes through Workday.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree. (Education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement).
Strong interest in HRIS systems and HR technology.
Understanding of HR processes such as recruiting, compensation, transfers/promotions, and performance management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with HR business processes and data.
Experience with Workday configuration.
Previous experience in HR operations or project management.
