The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Arlington, VA.
The security professional will have extensive experience using Department of War (DoW) personnel security clearance systems and will have knowledge of Yankee White Vetting.
The Security Specialist will possess expert level knowledge of DoW security policies specifically – personnel security, information security, industrial security and will be adept at how these policies help to detect and mitigate insider threats. The security specialist will be the focal point for interfacing with DoW and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency security policy makers to interpret policy requirements for Enterprise Classified Security (ECS) programs. The specialist will participate in policy making working groups and attend recurring meetings with DoW and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
Position Responsibilities:
Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action
Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
Develops and administers security education to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs
Contributes to enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) (e.g., participates in the review cycle and decision-making process for enterprise export compliance, procedures (PROs), Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's)
Provides innovation and creativity into Personnel Security (e.g., reduce cycle time) to assist in obtaining individual security clearance/accesses for complex customer requirements
Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
Completes tasks toward long-range goals and objectives
Oversees Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
10+ years of experience in Department of War security
5+ years of experience in industrial security or a related field
Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and outlook)
Experience with oral and written communications skills
Ability to obtain a successful US government polygraph examination
