About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for part-time and full-time Scribes, with a need in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.

At Meridian Health Partners, our scribes are so much more than traditional scribing jobs where the individual is spending hours chasing a provider trying to document an interaction.  At Meridian, our scribes are handpicked and paired with an individual provider during their tenure allowing a greater depth of understanding of the art of medicine and the complicated facets of the medical system.  We are not a "scribe mill" where you simply clock in and clock out but rather, you will be an integral part of the team.  Scribe/Assistants are vital to what we do and because of that we believe this to be one of the few scribe jobs where the employer continuously invests time, effort, and resources to educate you to a level commensurate with those in the medical field.  As a scribe, you will learn applicable anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, clinical note writing, history and physical writing, prescription writing, discharge summary writing, billing, and much more.  Also, because of the depth of knowledge of our providers and their passion to teach, you will learn the differences of the care provided at different levels including the hospital, outpatient clinics, acute rehabs, LTACH's, skilled nursing sites, nursing homes, assisted living sites and independent living sites as well as resources for the homebound patient.  Because our scribes are handpicked to work so closely with our providers, our track record for future success is incredible with previous scribes that are now licensed internal medicine physicians, subspecialty physicians, medical administrators, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.  Those planning to apply for professional school will definitely have a competitive advantage after their time working with us.
