At Northwest Center @ Amazon, we’re looking for a Lead Banista to take charge of the legendary Banana Stands: the quirky, cheerful heart of the campus where thousands of Amazonians grab a snack, share a smile, and feel part of something fun. As Lead Banista, you’re not just handing out bananas—you’re running the entire operation. You’ll be managing inventory, ordering supplies, tracking daily metrics, scheduling your team, and jumping into action whenever something needs solving. Most importantly, you’ll set the tone—bringing energy, warmth, and leadership to every shift. You’ll be the reason people walk away with more than just a banana—they’ll walk away feeling seen, welcomed, and energized. You’ll work across stands located on campus Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with the occasional evening, weekend, or offsite event as needed. We’re looking for someone who’s organized, proactive, quick on their feet, and loves creating moments that make someone’s day.

Starting Wage: $25.75 per hour | Full Wage Range: Starting Wage: $25.75 per hour | Full Wage Range: $25.75 - $31.19 per hour

What You Will Do

Lead Specific Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of the banana stand and ensure smooth workflow.
Serve as the go-to for deliveries, issues, and quick problem-solving.
Enforce team adherence to standards and policies.
Report shift issues promptly to Leadership.
Track hourly metrics and assist with data collection.
Liaise with leadership, property management, janitorial, and security teams.
Build strong relationships with the community and stakeholders.
Manage scheduling, including breaks, PTO, and coverage.
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing Banista training.
Conduct monthly inventory checks on uniforms and equipment.

Daily Banana Stand Responsibilities

Arrive on time, ready to work in your Banista uniform.
Set up and tear down the stand, keeping everything organized and in place.
Greet every visitor warmly with 5-star professionalism.
Play upbeat, work-appropriate music during operating hours.
Unload and separate bananas, removing any plastic or damaged fruit.
Keep crates fully stocked throughout the day and manage compost bins.
Maintain a clean, inviting, and well-decorated stand for holidays and events.
Track daily metrics on distribution, compost, and feedback using tracking software.
Record visitor comments and flag urgent issues to supervisors immediately.
Know banana facts and FAQs to engage visitors.
Follow schedules while adapting quickly to unexpected requests.
Monitor for security concerns and follow escalation protocols.
