RN System-Wide Permanent Traveler: Expansive Benefit Package, Flexible Full-time Hours, Premium Pay, and Differentials


Full-Time Permanent position~ Benefits ~ Premium Pay (this is not a temporary contract)

$20 more per hour vs working at one hospital

6-12 week assignments

Seeking RNs with the ability to travel to10 Sentara hospitals based on greatest need including:
VA: Southside and Peninsula Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, and Elizabeth City (NC)

For assignments greater than 75 miles from home:

​*block scheduling (home in between weekly blocks)

*meal reimbursement

*lodging provided

*travel time pay

*rental car or mileage reimbursement

*earn hotel and rental points


We are currently seeking RNs with a minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience, rotating shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

*Valid RN license

*BLS

*2 years of inpatient Cardiovascular Operating Room experience

Nurses will work with a multi-disciplinary team of Cardio-thoracic Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Physician Assistants.  

 

The cardiovascular operating room nurse works as part of the surgical services and operating room teams that treat open-heart (cardiovascular) patients. Prepares OR Room, ensures equipment and medications are available for the operating room team.  Reviews patient’s chart. Assesses patient upon admission and through procedure Prep and positions patient in OR Administers medication, monitor vital signs during procedure. Document’s information. Provides a call report to the ICU floor nurse after the surgical procedure.  Prepares OR for the next case.
