Please Note: This bilingual role requires the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish.The Division of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery within the Pediatric Heart Institute at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. In this critical role, you will contribute to advancing pediatric cardiac care by supporting all phases of clinical research projects.
As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be responsible for a wide range of research and operational activities, including:
• Preparing, completing, and maintaining regulatory documents.
• Conducting both quantitative and qualitative data collection.
• Managing and analyzing research data.
• Preparing reports, presentations, and other project deliverables.
Your initial focus will be on coordinating a qualitative study, which is part of a larger, primarily NIH-funded, multi-state research initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced medical researchers and contribute to impactful work that improves outcomes for children with congenital heart disease.
Key Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; familiarity with qualitative research and/or congenital heart disease research is a plus.
Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
Work Location & Schedule:
This position is based at our office located at 2525 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN. It is a full-time, Monday–Friday role generally during traditional business hours. However, flexibility is essential as certain participant recruitment and data collection activities may occasionally be scheduled during evenings or weekends to accommodate the needs of the populations we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinates research projects and performs tasks related to the execution and operations of research projects.
• Uses skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods to contribute to the design, coordination, and conduct of research projects.
• Fosters collaboration between team members, both internal and external to the department.
• Data management and analysis.
• Qualitative coding and thematic analysis.
• Sets up REDCap databases, conducts online surveys, in-depth interviews and focus groups, and performs data entry.
• Coordinates development of datasets, data cleaning, data validation, and data reporting.
• Summarizes and interprets complex analyses.
• Prepares materials and drafts sections of presentation and written documents.
• Creates charts, graphs, and tables to summarize analysis results.
