Senior AI Product Manager

The Senior/Principal AI Product Manager will be responsible for identifying, defining, prioritizing, and executing initiatives that facilitate the implementation of AI across internal processes throughout the organization. Your intention will be to enable our internal team members to be more efficient and effective in their jobs. You’ll work with every function in the company to find ways to improve workflows using AI and ML. You will work hand-in-hand with engineering and design to implement world-class solutions. You will be an evangelist for AI and will motivate and inspire the organization to embrace the benefits of AI. You will also be a consultant for product teams to help ideate and refine AI-powered functionality for our products. You will be an expert who has a deep understanding of a wide spectrum of AI technologies and can quickly identify optimal solutions.

This position will report to the head of product management and will be a hybrid role requiring an average of 3 days in-office and 2 flex days per week.

What You Will Own (Responsibilities)

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for internal AI/ML initiatives, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for internal AI/ML projects, incorporating business needs, solution availability and viability, emerging trends, and ROI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and design, to define requirements and specifications based on user needs and business priorities.
• Prioritize and manage a backlog of AI/ML opportunities, considering technical feasibility, market impact, and resource allocation.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners, to gather feedback, communicate updates, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging technologies, informing our strategy and priorities.
• Collaborate with product designers to ensure seamless and intuitive user experiences with AI/ML products, leveraging user feedback and usability testing.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI/ML projects. Monitor their performance and conduct data-driven analyses to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Coordinate the release and launch of AI/ML projects, working closely with engineering and customer success teams, to ensure smooth deployment and customer adoption.
• You will be the subject matter expert for AI/ML, evangelizing its value proposition internally and externally through demos, case studies, presentations, and participation in industry events.
• Identify and communicate potential risks and challenges associated with AI/ML, proactively developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
• Stay updated with relevant regulations and guidelines related to AI/ML technologies, ensuring that the products adhere to legal and ethical standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the products and drive innovation.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job (minimum qualifications)

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent work experience) in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline. A higher degree or certification in AI/ML is a plus.
• Extensive professional experience in product management, specifically in AI/ML or related areas. Ideally, 5+ years of experience in product management roles, with a focus on AI/ML products and/or services.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and technologies. Familiarity with popular AI/ML frameworks and tools, and ability to apply them to product development and decision-making.
• Prior experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) company is highly desirable. Understanding the SaaS business model, customer needs, and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated expertise in product management methodologies and practices, including market research, product strategy development, roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and agile product development.
• Proficiency in technical aspects related to AI/ML, such as data engineering, data science, cloud computing, and software development. Ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand technical complexities.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams or projects, and driving product initiatives. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, data scientists, designers, and other stakeholders.
