Senior Quality System Manager (Multiple Openings)

Responsibilities:

The Senior Quality System Manager at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (“SEL”) will deploy advanced knowledge of SEL’s internally developed integrated engineering management systems, processes, tools, and procedures.  The incumbent will apply the principles of electrical engineering and: (1) lead Quality System Managers, Process Improvement Managers, Quality Engineers, and Process Improvement Specialists in developing, refining, and implementing novel in-house integrated engineering management systems and processes that meet or exceed SEL, ISO 9001, and other critical industry requirements; (2) play a lead role in auditing and evaluating existing in-house integrated engineering management systems and processes and reporting findings to SEL executive leadership teams; (3) provide broad technical support and guidance to SEL management teams in connection with achieving specific quality and strategic objectives (both nationally and globally) associated with SEL’s integrated engineering management systems; (4) lead, mentor, and coach SEL employees on effective problem solving while utilizing both conventional and in-house quality tools and procedures with the goal of achieving accurate root cause and solution identification; (5) define, analyze, and report to SEL executive leadership teams the key performance indicators of the SEL customer experience; (6) manage Quality functions involving a range of topics and subject matter areas (including Supplier Quality, Calibration, and Document Control) both nationally and globally; (7) work through subordinate Quality System Managers, Process Improvement Managers, Quality Engineers, Process Improvement Specialists, and other professionals to ensure that customer (internal and external) quality concerns are resolved quickly and effectively, and (8) mentor, direct, control, and exercise discretion over the activities of five Quality System Managers and one Quality Engineer under his or her direction, including holding the authority to recommend hiring, firing, and other personnel actions.

Salary Range: $139,700.00 - $145,200.00 per year.
