Job Description
NBCUniversal is looking for an experienced data professional to lead data stewardship efforts for enterprise-wide initiatives.
The Manager, Enterprise Data Stewardship will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization’s data is accurate, consistent, and well-documented across enterprise platforms. This role will lead the development and execution of data stewardship strategies, including maintaining data quality and integrity, managing data catalogs, and overseeing taxonomy and metadata practices. As part of a business solutions team, the Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver innovative solutions, while also supporting ad hoc service needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Quality & Integrity:
- Oversee operational efforts related to data quality, including remediation, reporting on status, efficacy, and business impact.
- Develop and implement data-driven requirements for automated reporting to identify and investigate anomalies.
- Test and validate results of new data onboarding initiatives to ensure data cleanliness and completeness.
- Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to establish data quality standards that mitigate risks and support legal and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate business value by ensuring high-quality data drives accurate decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Data Management & Cataloging:
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance data collection and storage practices in alignment with business objectives.
- Manage and maintain data catalogs, ensuring information is accessible and well-documented.
- Partner with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve data quality and integrity issues, while driving long-term solutions.

- Metadata & Taxonomy
- Develop and enforce standards for taxonomy and metadata across enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with business priorities and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in risk management and legal solutions to design taxonomy and metadata strategies that enable operational and monitoring data risk controls.
