Our partner is currently seeking an Assistant General Manager for store-front position at a well-established and competitive company in the self-storage industry in St. Petersburg, FL. With over 30 years of experience, this employee-owned, private real estate company manages over 100 facilities nationwide and offers a diverse portfolio of properties. The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in supporting store operations, including revenue generation, safety measures, security protocols, customer service, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Reporting directly to the Regional Director and guided by the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the daily opening, closing, and security of the store.
- Achieve and surpass sales objectives through effective unit rentals, insurance protection, and retail product sales.
- Create and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
- Cultivate a culture of exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving customer concerns, work orders, and repair requests.
- Manage payment processing, cash handling, and accurate bank deposits.
- Oversee the security of company assets, functionality of equipment, and cleanliness of the premises.
- Efficiently handle product ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display.
- Assist the General Manager in managing the auction process, including collection calls and notices, buyer pay out process, and unit preparation for new tenants.
- This position is on-site with a flexible work week Monday-Saturday
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, exposed to adverse environmental conditions, weather variations, noise extremes, and potential hazards.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in business management, real estate, logistics and supply chain, construction management, marketing, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of related experience in retail, real estate, rental property management, logistics and transportation, e-commerce, construction, insurance, or hospitality and housekeeping.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $15.00-$16.50 per hour.
- Eligible to receive a MONTHLY performance-based bonus up to $245.00.
