Job Description

MicroStrategy, Inc. seeks Software Engineer, Senior (Security) in Tysons Corner, VA:

Job Duties: Utilizing knowledge of AWS technologies to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based MicroStrategy solutions. Developing and maintaining Docker and Kubernetes infrastructure for efficient MicroStrategy application deployment and management. Using programming skills in Python and Java to write efficient and scalable code for MicroStrategy cloud-based applications. Leveraging infrastructure and networking knowledge to ensure secure and efficient application performance on the cloud. Implementing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of MicroStrategy cloud-based applications. Automating processes and procedures for efficient and cost-effective cloud deployment and management. Developing microservices applications and migrating monolithic applications to microservices architecture. Utilizing Spring Boot for application development and MicroStrategy deployment. Working with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and DynamoDB to ensure efficient data management. Participating in peer code reviews, knowledge sharing, and SCRUM meetings to ensure team collaboration and project success. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to MicroStrategy, Inc.’s Tysons Corner, VA office is required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) SQL; (3) Python; (4) JS; (5) Spring Boot; (6) Kubernetes; (7) Docker; (8) AWS technologies; (9) CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins or AWS CodeBuild); and (10) PostgreSQL.
