This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.

 

POSITION SPECIFICS

The Long-Qing Chen Research Group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is looking for a Postdoctoral Scholar. The postdoc will work on developing phase-field models for modeling the templated grain growth and piezoelectricity of ferroelectric piezoelectric crystals and work with other experimental groups in the to be funded ONR MURI project.

Candidates must have a PhD in MatSE and experience in developing phase-field models of microstructures and properties by start date.

This term position is funded for one year from the date of hire with the possibility of renewal pending available funding and satisfactory performance.
