Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

Full Visibility is seeking a Senior Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Platform Engineer to work remotely. Candidate must possess an active Secret clearance.

The Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. The successful candidate will have experience with using and provisioning cloud services (AWS) and be proficient in AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, and Lambda etc. (not all inclusive) orchestrated/deployed in a cloud environment. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, orchestration, execution, configuration, security, and validation of clusters. The Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer will possess a thorough understanding of networking and DNS, scheduling, troubleshooting, logging, and monitoring of relevant areas. The candidate will participate in establishing architectural standards that enable DevOps practices like infrastructure as code, policy as code and CI/CD.

The Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer will provide subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise with application lifecycle management as it pertains to containerized Kubernetes clustered environments.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• At least six (6+) years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, AWS Engineer, or similar role
• Five (5) years applied experience on containerized platforms
• Proficient with AWS services (EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.)
• Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Java, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks
• Experience with docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• IAT level II certification
• AWS Kubernetes CKA certification or training and at least two (2) AWS certifications or training in AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS DevOps Engineer. Three (3) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification or training.

Preferred:
• AWS SysOps Administrator Certification or training
• AWS DevOps Engineer Certification or training
