Maintenance Planner

Summary: Under direction of the Maintenance Manager, manages Work Order and PM systems. Coordinate availability of spare parts for PM schedules. Provide support to Engineering and Maintenance groups with necessary documentation and procedures to answer audits and questions regarding equipment and implementation of new Work Orders. Detail planning of all preventative maintenance activities and collaboration across functional area to optimize lines efficiency by planning Maintenance planned down time. Maintain spare parts inventory and purchasing. Assist with mechanics scheduling and tasks assignment. Assist coordination of planned work with vendors and third-party suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Track parts usage and costs, prepares relevant reports
• Process Maintenance Work Orders (WOs) including opening or closing PM and other types of WOs in the system (after installed)
• Ensure availability of spare parts to be used for scheduled PM work
• Obtain additional resources as needed
• Organize, maintain, and manage the preventative maintenance system. Track equipment approaching their scheduled maintenance.
• Support and maintain documentation associated with all lines.
• Analyze parts requirements and ensure reorder schedules
• Build budget for spare parts used
• Coordinate the activities of Maintenance personnel
• Schedule vendors for regular testing and compliance requirements
• Schedules Maintenance Vendors – emergencies, calibrations etc.
• Coordinates third party equipment support
• Makes recommendations to reduce costs
• Other tasks as assigned
Educational Qualification:
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required Skills / Experience:
• Data entry experience
• Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic components, and ability to identify them correctly
• Embrace and promote teamwork and team building culture
• Excellent communication skills
• Good organizational, cross-functional, and interpersonal skills
• Good math and analytical skills
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office, ARP software, CMMS etc.
• Must be available to work overtime, off-shift, weekends, holidays if needed
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervise mechanics on PM completion, Work Orders completion, parts issuing, work reporting and follow up.
