About the role

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with all other departments and functions of the company to ensure effective processing of customer orders.
  • Responsible for making decisions and giving directions to accomplish tasks that facilitates on-time delivery at the lowest cost.
  • Coordinates with various departments (Order Management, Engineering, Manufacturing) to ensure project completion is per the project plan.
  • Project plan definition and execution, including:
    • WBS tasks and subtasks
    • Budgets
    • Schedules, milestones, and deliverables
    • Contracts and contract modifications
    • Reports/communications with the customer, vendors, staff, and management, including project status, change orders, issues, and corresponding solutions and action plans. 
  • Ability and authority to access all levels of the company organization to facilitate action.
  • Responsible for being cognizant of the status of an order at all times and able to report regarding the status upon request to management and sales. And CUSTOMER
  • Monitor the cost of the project/deliverable on a continual basis and report any adverse impact on cost as it occurs.
  • Preparation and tracking of customer change orders, including documentation, and proper support of acknowledgment/acceptance.
  • Interaction with customers through the design, manufacture, and after sales processes; assisting to resolve project challenges and inquiries.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor project schedules and report all impacts on planned delivery (positive or negative).
  • Utilize Project Management software in planning and tracing orders.
  • Manage a portfolio of all orders concurrently in process.
  • Responsible for closing projects and providing an analysis of the cost for future pricing and delivery decisions.
  • Promotes effective communication with internal and external organizations and customers. Through appropriate form of communications; meetings, emails, conference, etc.
  • Demonstrate the capability to work independently on complex and multiple projects requiring judgment to resolve problems.
  • Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree or related field an asset
  • 5 years’ experience in project management in the oil & gas industry. 
  • A firm understanding of both computer hardware and software (including MS Office, MS Project, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, including problem resolution and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments.
