Front-End Engineer

Pay Details:

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $100,000 to $125,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

The Front-End Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the user-facing part of websites and web applications for the Anaheim Ducks. This position will work closely with our design and back-end teams to build and maintain high-quality web applications and a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces

• Implement responsive design principles to ensure applications work well on various devices and screen sizes

• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Identify and fix bugs or issues in the code

• Work closely with back-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software

• Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related

• 3+ years of proven work experience as a Frontend Developer

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vuejs

• Experience with Git and platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the team

• Able to travel as needed

• Able to create responsive designs that work across various devices

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch

• Experience with testing tools like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress

• Experience with a sports team

• Knowledge of SEO best practices to ensure web applications are search engine friendly

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes
