Role overview
Avenue Z is seeking an organized, analytical Accounting Analyst based in Orlando, FL, to support our Senior Vice President of Finance, across day-to-day accounting operations and broader financial planning and analysis.
The Accounting Analyst will help maintain accurate financial records, support the monthly close, prepare recurring reports, track cash flow and budgets, and turn financial information into clear insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate will bridge the foundational technical training of public accounting with the operational agility and practical mindset of private corporate accounting. The right person will bring strong follow-through, sound judgment, discretion, and a willingness to identify and improve processes rather than simply complete transactions.

- Assist with scenario analysis, financial models, and ad hoc analysis for operating decisions, planning, and leadership requests.
- Identify recurring reporting needs and develop repeatable templates, dashboards, and processes that reduce manual work.
Process improvement and cross-functional support
- Document accounting and finance procedures, deadlines, ownership, and required approvals.
- Identify control gaps, process bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve data quality or automation.
- Partner with People Operations, department leaders, and external vendors when accounting information intersects with payroll, benefits, contractors, purchasing, or entity administration.
- Support finance-related work associated with new entities, acquisitions, integrations, or business changes as assigned.
