WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Prepare monthly financial reports for land projects and various companies
- As assigned, prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare check requests and check deposits, miscellaneous reporting updates, and general ledger journal entries
- Process payment requests for vendors, including contract analysis, pay application review, and approvals. Process payments for those assigned projects according to vendor policy and in accordance with the payment schedule
- Issue purchase orders on contracts after a thorough review of coding for alignment with budget and project-specific aspects, including government reimbursements and community development district requirements
- Work with land managers to adjust and maintain project budgets and cash flow schedules
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and interact with external auditors
- Help to monitor and analyze the progress of assigned projects and evaluate and track cost-to-completes
- Develop proficiency in the use of accounting software programs and available resources
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- General ledger experience, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and their proper application to business transactions
- Highly detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with discretion
- Residential home building experience is beneficial
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General sedentary work requiring the use of office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, scanners, and telephones
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, writing, typing, repetitive motions, hearing ability, visual acuity, and climbing stairs on occasion
- May occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds
