About the role


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience managing projects or supporting the planning and development of business agreements.
  • 4 years of experience in a commercial, operations, or administrative support role (relevant internships are acceptable).
  • Experience in financial modeling using spreadsheets (e.g., spreadsheet software/Sheets) and financial concepts (e.g., ROI, NPV).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience or coursework supporting commercial real estate transactions, contracts, or project execution.
  • Experience in tracking and reporting on key metrics and project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of data center technology, power distribution, or infrastructure.
  • Ability to be organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to operate in a changing, global environment.
  • Familiarity with legal or business contract terminology, document management, or redlining processes.

As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

As a Strategic Negotiator supporting Data Center Leasing and Investments at Google, you will be on the front lines of securing the physical infrastructure that powers Google’s global products, including Google Search, Google Cloud, and AI innovation. This is a high-impact role requiring deep expertise in data center real estate, complex commercial negotiations, financial modeling, and the ability to drive multi-million-dollar transactions from market analysis to contract execution.

This role provides essential execution and analytical support for securing the physical infrastructure that powers Google’s global products, including Google Search, Google Cloud, and AI innovation. You will be responsible for maintaining transaction pipelines, organizing critical deal documentation, and supporting the team's financial and market analysis efforts for colocation leases and development projects globally. Your work will directly contribute to the team’s ability to deliver data center capacity quickly and efficiently.
