Junior Actuarial Analyst

LULA is a growth-stage startup company building technology that changes how insurance is priced, sold and managed. We've started in the commercial auto industry and have seen explosive growth; we're looking to add a Jr Actuarial Analyst to our insurance team! 

This is a highly cross-functional role that will be directly impacting pivotal business functions and operational directives.  Alongside traditional actuarial tasks related to data analysis, pricing and reserving you will also perform deep-dive analysis into claims analytics, predictive modeling, underwriting and product evaluation.

• Key responsibilities and duties:
  • Collect and analyze data for financial and utilization reporting and monitoring
  • Build informative dashboards and visualizations
  • Coordinate, prepare, perform, and audit actuarial analyses
  • Assist with actuarial research, modeling, and documentation
  • Support product line evaluations and analyze financial risks and opportunities
  • Evaluate current assumptions and propose new methodologies for improvement
  • Communicate results and recommendations effectively to all stakeholders
  • Meet with Senior Leaders to determine future rate strategy
• Required qualifications, certifications, and education:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field
  • 0-1 year of actuarial and/or statistics experience
  • Minimum one actuarial exam passed
  • Master's degree a plus

USA Pay Range$65,000—$75,000 USD
