Key Responsibilities
The Recovery-Oriented
Supported Employment Program Administrator I will focus on integrating
Recovery-Ready Workplace standards (per SB 98) and managing certification
programs that address substance use disorders (SUD) through strategic employer
partnerships. This position will emphasize evidence-based employment,
including Individual Placement and Support, providing high-level strategic
oversight for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of agency programs
and regional operations. This role acts as a primary liaison between the agency
and the community to manage vital statewide initiatives. Additionally, the
position serves as a technical assistance expert and trainer for evidence-based
employment models, establishing and delivering training programs that embed
recovery-oriented supported employment within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Employer Engagement & Recovery-Ready Workplaces: Collaborate directly with private and public employers to implement SB 98 standards. Lead the design of workplace certification initiatives and programs that reduce barriers to care, mitigate occupational factors contributing to substance use, and deliver essential resources to the business community.
- SUD Program Management: Direct and evaluate specialized programs focused on substance use disorder recovery. Apply professional knowledge of SUD frameworks to improve program effectiveness, maximize statewide resource utilization, and support employee retention and health.
- IPS Training and Implementation: Serve as a trainer and subject matter expert for the Individual Placement and Support framework. Design, schedule, and conduct comprehensive training sessions to embed evidence-based supported employment models into regional operations, ensuring strict fidelity to the IPS model for individuals experiencing substance use disorders or mental health challenges.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop long-term agency goals and objectives. Chair committees to support statewide recovery-oriented employment programs and ensure regional organizational stability across all initiatives.
- Fiscal Oversight: Provide comprehensive management of agency budgets, including the strategic oversight of revenues, expenditures, and funding allocations.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as an official agency representative to federal, state, and local government units, media outlets, and private organizations to foster collaborative community partnerships.
- Operational Training: Conduct detailed training needs assessments and recommend programs designed to reduce the stigma surrounding substance use while improving overall service delivery.
Supplemental Information
- Will provide training state wide that may require some travel and will be subject to Driver Eligibility standards.
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
- This position is currently a hybrid of two (2) in-office and three (3) remote work days. Please note, a position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion, at any time, and for any reason.
