About the Team
SoundOn is an all-in-one platform for music distribution and promotion, designed to better service music creators through each step of their career — from TikTok integrated promotion tools to global music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way.

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for troubleshooting and proactively identifying any issues related to YouTube and UGC operations among internal partnership teams, clients and suppliers.
- Provide expert guidance to SoundOn divisions, artists and labels on YouTube and UGC operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the quality of the SoundOn catalog on YouTube and other UGC platforms.
- Accountable for the operational relationship between SoundOn and YouTube.
- Establish and implement the SOP and roadmaps in the area of UGC and YouTube operations.
- Create and present YouTube and UGC monetization strategies for business leaders.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing strategic guidance to our partnership team, product team, and clients.
- Effectively communicate roadmaps, product priorities, experiments, and decisions for product and development teams, while identifying potential areas to enhance our product capabilities.
- Stay informed about global markets, industry trends, the competitive landscape, and internal product development efforts to ensure alignment with our goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maximize SoundOn content protection and safety infrastructure.
- Liase between counterparts both within SoundOn and the wider ByteDance organization in specialist areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience in technology, music distribution and supply chain within the entertainment industry specializing in YouTube and UGC management.
- Fully YouTube certified.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and present insights from data.
- Ability to present strategies with data evidence.
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
- Great attitude, incredible passion and enthusiasm for people, technology, process, and music.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of UGC platforms, the YouTube ecosystem and their distribution operations.
- Deep knowledge of all metadata, supply chain and DSP operations.
- Great understanding of music distribution industry.
- Deep knowledge of music metadata and DDEX.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $104712 - $235980 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
