• Real-time mission-level autonomy for space vehicles and ground systems
• Vision-based navigation for collaborative robotic platforms
• Space domain awareness visualization in 3D mixed reality
• Immersive environments and data visualization
• AI-based analytical threat and hazard assessment algorithms
• Multimodal 1D signal classification and activity characterization
• Image processing for object detection, characterization, and tracking
• EO/IR, radar, lidar, RF, and hyperspectral sensor data processing
• Space battle management, command and control capabilities
• Strategic wargaming

At Charles River Analytics, you will develop and apply concepts crossing multiple fields including computer vision, machine learning, signal processing, information visualization, wargaming, and decision support. You will work in tightly-knit, project-oriented teams with a Principal Investigator and other scientists and engineers to design, prototype, implement, and deploy leading edge concepts into mission support capabilities. You will have the opportunity to support and lead research and development programs in support of space domain capabilities. You will have the opportunity to leverage CRA’s extensive intelligent systems portfolio, attend technical and domain area conferences, and move the state of the art forward.     

How will you make an impact?

• Design new methods or apply existing techniques to solve challenging problems across a range of sensing, perception, decision support, and space systems applications
• Formulate new ideas and develop proposals for new capabilities
• Write technical papers and reports on existing work
• Present your work to stakeholders, collaborators, operators, and the research community
• Guide prototype development while engaging with end-user communities and technology partners

What Do you need?

• M.S. in Engineering, Science, or related area, with Ph.D. preferred
• 10+ years in signal processing (e.g., EO/IR, radar, lidar, RF, LDV, hyperspectral), machine learning, computer vision or related field
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Experience directly interacting with customers, users, and technical experts
• Experience leading programs as a principal investigator
• Experience writing technical proposals and generating new business
• Experience translating user community needs and system features into actionable requirements for engineering teams to produce technical capabilities
