Per Diem Physician Assistant - The Center for Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine

The Advanced Otolaryngology program at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital brings together a unique team of specialists and medical services to provide coordinated, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, sinuses and other structures of the head and neck. The Center for Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine provides care for patients with throat and voice disorders, allergy and nasal breathing disorders, ear disorders and hearing impairment, and sinus disease and disorders.

The per diem ENT PA will help cover a growing ENT service M-F day shifts, who is able to assist with weekly coverage 1 day/week and assist covering PTO when able—no nights, weekends, or holidays. PA will support patient volume in the ENT clinic by seeing patients and performing inpatient duties such as consults, rounding on inpatients, performing bedside procedures, and assisting in the OR. Duties include covering the floor and doing consultations in-house and the emergency room. Bedside procedures like abscess drainage and scoping patients when needed and also assisting in the OR if needed.

Preferred Criteria

-ENT experience is required

Required Criteria

-Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies

-NYS PA Licensure

-Current NCCPA Certification

-ACLS/BLS

-NYS Infection Control certification

-DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance
