About the Opportunity

The Federal Reserve System (FRS) have transitioned our human resources, finance, and procurement technology systems into one integrated cloud-based platform using the Workday and SAP Ariba product solutions. To support this platform, operational support capabilities are being reorganized to be singularly focused on one goal – to deliver a world-class platform in support of the FRS' mission. The ERP Support Office (ESO) has been created to spearhead technical support of the new solution by establishing an agile team that will embrace change, drive innovation, and rapidly respond to the changing needs of stakeholders. 

The role will be a part of an Agile product team that is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, troubleshooting and resolution of any Workday and/ or Ariba and all connected systems (on-prem, Cloud-based, and third-party providers) application challenges and will actively engage with other Agile team members to support process improvement efforts​.  This position will focus heavily on the development and maintenance of Workday/ Ariba’s core functionality and modules as well as the exploration of new functionality to address novel business problems as identified by business line partners.  This position will also be responsible for adhering to approved design patterns; following relevant architectural, data, and security policies; and collaborating with internal service providers such as National Integration Services and National IT.  This role will support the ongoing enhancements, changes, additions, and updates to the Ariba/Workday platform.  Experience with Financial, HR, or Procurement configuration is expected.

What You Will Do:

• Use agile engineering practices and various configuration tools or development technologies to rapidly develop and/or configure creative and efficient solutions that enhance the client, customer, and employee experience;

• Collaborate with other agile team members to craft clear user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and continuously deliver product enhancements;

• Create solutions that improve the reliability of systems in production, fixing issues, responding to incidents and, when required, takes on-call responsibilities;

• Manage incident troubleshooting and resolution;

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify service improvements;

• Conduct relevant testing to ensure correct functionality

• Work through resolution of technical service issues according to standard processes and procedures and specialized understanding of complex product issues;

• Participate rigorously in agile events and activities (i.e., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective, refinement, peer reviews);

• Maintain a strong focus on business outcomes

• Communicate with business stakeholders about agile processes to set and manage expectations about delivery methods and timelines;

• Perform tasks associated with technical release readiness, recurring routine report development and monitoring, proposing technical solutions for enhancement, and training material development.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Accounting or related field

• Experience with ERP platform tools is required: Workday, Ariba, Adaptive, etc.

• Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying and managing technology platform and connected systems or processes;

• High proficiency in product-related technology and systems operations;

• In-depth understanding of industry market trends and conditions;

• Experience in working with ticketing tools, configuration, escalation management, developing and maintaining core tools;

• Ability to translate user-impacting defects into user consumable language;
