Job Summary:

SPECIFIC DUTIES: 4.1. Entrance Control Post: Operate and enforce a system of identification. 4.2. Roving Escorts: Conducts patrols in accordance with established routes and schedules, and escorts persons to their vehicles. 4.3. Parking Rules and Regulations: Observe parked vehicles for compliance with posted rules and regulations. 4.4. Law and Order: Maintain law and order with the areas of assignment. 4.5. Unauthorized Access: Discover, observe, and report to Police Officers those people attempting to gain unauthorized access to the property. 4.6. Hazardous Conditions: Reports daily in accordance with procedures in the Police Standard Operating Procedures, potentially hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair, including inoperative lighting, slips/trips, and falls. 4.7. Additional Duties: Turns off unnecessary lights, checks safes, lock-type repositories and cabinets, close windows, open and secure doors, and gates. 4.8. Civil Disturbances: Perform such other functions as may be necessary in the event of situations or occurrences such as civil disturbances or other criminal acts adversely affecting the security and safety of the Government, its employees, property, and the public lawfully in buildings or on the grounds under the control of the Government. 4.9. Emergencies: Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate assistance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet any required State of Texas Security Guard/Officer certifications.
• Must have minimum two (2) year’s experience.
• Shall possess a high school diploma and equivalence
• Ability to meet and deal with the public;
• Ability to read, understand and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials;
• Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress, shall have strong customer service skills the ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports.
• Must be First Aid/CPR/AED; and OC Spray certified
• Shall have a valid Texas State Driver's License.
