MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Florida.
• Must be willing and able to work some weekends and holidays as required.
• Must be willing and able to drive a 15-passenger facility van.
• Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a long-term care environment with a geriatric population in activities department.
• Current BLS CPR card.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• The incumbent of the Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA) / Activities position will ensure that the residents ADLs, daily assignments, and an ongoing program of activities in accordance with the comprehensive assessment are completed during the shift while identifying and resolving needs. Reports directly to the Activities Director (Therapy Aide Supervisor). Assist with developing and implementing an activities program, which improves or maintains physical, mental, and social well-being with a varied work schedule that may include weekend, evenings, and holidays. This includes maintaining resident daily hygiene, nourishment, and appointments.
