Maintenance Electrical Supervisor - Decatur, IL
This is an exempt level position. 

Position Summary
The ADM West Plant Refinery is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and reliability of the electrical and instrumentation systems within the West Refinery. They will be involved in the day-to-day operational and maintenance activities of the Refinery. This position will report to the Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent and will lead both hourly and contracted teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations and Emergency work orders for the ADM E/I team
  • Propose and manage projects and ideas that improve the safety, reliability, cost, and energy use at ADM facilities
  • Manage contractors to ensure they maintain a safe workplace, good construction quality, and construction efficiency
  • Help advise project engineers and contractors regarding electrical installations
  • Mentor colleagues in new technology and electrical safety as required
  • Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts
  • Conduct and or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Ensure that complete equipment service records are maintained
  • Understands their role in electrical safety and quality systems, actively participates in electrical safety efforts, and ensures all activities conform to pertinent code rules, industry best practices, and the ADM Electrical Safety Program.
  • Responsible for utilizing the Performance Excellence process
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years electrical maintenance experience, supervisory experience is required.
  • Familiar with motor starters, motor control devices, PLC’s, PLC logic, controls, and medium/high voltage.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), and Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E)
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees to achieve desired results
  • Good communication skills for working with other electricians, plant engineers, and upper management
  • Must be organized and able to work in fast paced environment
  • Must be available for emergency call-in work.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with our CMMS (Maximo)
  • Detailed understanding of a refinery plant operation and maintenance
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to thirty (30) pounds on a frequent basis, up to fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis
  • Lifting or carrying of weights over fifty (50) pounds is rare; employees are encouraged to request assistance in lifting or carrying objects that weigh more than fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to traverse up to two (2) miles or more during the course of a work day
  • Ability to move about or to a work site by stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently during the course of a work day; may require periods of prolonged sitting or standing
  • Ability to operate equipment or diagnose/detect issues of machinery that may be located at different heights; may require work on ladders, scaffolding, or other work at heights
  • Full range of physical motion is required in order to operate manual and electrically powered tools and electrical test equipment, to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs in all buildings, and to work at heights
