What You'll Do

This position is responsible for all accounting and financial activities of Wilson Sporting Goods at the Nashville area Warehouses: operating expense management & control, financial performance and steering, budget and forecast preparation, and financial results reporting.  This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day accounting and analysis to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance while consulting and sharing financial information with the greater finance organization and site leadership.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead general accounting operations, overseeing financial books, processing accounts payable, safeguarding inventory transactions, and monitoring material, labor, freight, customs, and burden accounts; report on results and explain variances.
  • Recommend modifications to chart of accounts and cost systems, set and supervise accounting standards, provide account analysis, cost reduction projects, and payback on capital projects.
  • Collaborate with managers for long-term business outlook, partner with regional sales, finance, and commercial teams to manage the budget and forecasts, and handle financial planning, performance monitoring, and capital optimization.
  • Ensure financial data compliance with Amer Sports standards, conduct monthly financial reviews and governance meetings, prepare ad-hoc reports, and communicate relevant financial information to key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform internal and external benchmark analysis to improve operations and drive sustainable growth.

What We're Looking For

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field plus at least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analyst role. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

 

Other qualifications include:

  • SAP experience
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to monitor appropriate financial measures; interpret and use data to help in decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate, consult and share information with managers and colleagues within the global and regional matrix
  • Ability to identify problems or risks as well as solutions
  • Hands-on, proactive approach to always seeking efficiencies; flexible and open to new ideas in a growing environment
  • Demonstrates a desire to accomplish and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to plan and organize; prioritize multiple competing tasks
  • High energy level; ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with ease and composure
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

What We'll Provide

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $75,000-$90,000 per year at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
