Position Summary:

Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end to end support; covering front end business support, financial planning and analysis, as well as back end controllership and accounting for area(s) of direct responsibility
  • Drive the global consolidation of key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as Overhead Spend, Headcount, CAPEX, Volume, Absorption etc.
  • Play a major role in the global operations finance’s quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and periodic variance reporting cycles.
  • Serve as liaison between the Corporate operations finance leadership team and the site operations finance teams across regions on a wide range of topics.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of financial reporting package focused on performance related to the manufacturing and supply chain organizations to the appropriate executive management audiences.
  • Provide deep insight into manufacturing and purchase activity variances with a view to helping management understand their impact on overall performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in operations finance in such areas as overall KPI content, as well as help improve forecast accuracy levels etc.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors and support overall control framework.
  • Support the standard cost setting process for both routine and annual cost roll activities
  • Provide leadership in the work order variance review process and provide meaningful insight into drivers.
  • Perform any other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years in Operations Finance and Cost Accounting preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP is preferred; exposure to Cognos TM1 is a plus
  • Successful track record of effectively interfacing with manufacturing personnel to identify, support, and execute on value-added ideas to improve profitability
  • Attention to details, strong analytical background as it pertains to understanding and explaining manufacturing variances
  • Ability to influence cross functionally and solve complex problems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; Must be comfortable working with and analyzing large data files

Experience/Education:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience.

The estimated base salary range for the Sr Financial Analyst II - Marketing Finance role based in the United States of America is: $115,800 - $173,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
