This position ensures that products are comprehensively designed, tested, and sustained throughout their lifecycle. The role involves collaborating closely with software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless product operation and compliance with industry standards, particularly IEC60601-1 safety certification.<p></p><p><u><b><span>Job Description</span></b></u></p><p></p><ul><li>Design and develop <b>embedded hardware</b> for complex <b>medical drug delivery combination devices</b>.</li><li>Work closely with <b>software and firmware engineers</b> to ensure smooth integration.</li><li>Conduct <b>hardware design reviews</b> and actively participate in <b>customer requirements reviews</b>.</li><li>Utilize <b>Altium Designer</b> for schematic design capture and documentation.</li><li>Lead <b>system architecture design</b> and present findings internally and externally.</li><li>Design, develop, and test <b>PCBA</b> using digital and analogue techniques.</li><li>Implement <b>wireless communication technologies</b>, including <b>Bluetooth (BLE), LoRa</b>, and <b>wired interfacing systems</b> (CAN Bus, UART, MODBUS, RS485, RS232, SPI, I2C).</li><li>Develop and <b>execute tests</b> to validate prototype hardware, <b>collaborating with verification teams</b> to ensure compliance with quality systems.</li><li>Research <b>low-power, battery-operated designs</b>, including <b>DC-DC converters</b>.</li><li>Support <b>design for manufacturing (DFM)</b> processes and <b>industry-standard guidance procedures</b>.</li><li>Troubleshoot <b>embedded hardware issues</b> and provide solutions efficiently.</li><li>Stay updated on <b>industry trends</b> and introduce <b>innovative design approaches</b>.</li><li>Contribute to <b>multi-disciplinary, Agile development projects</b>.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education &amp; Experience</b></p><ul><li><b>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree</b> in <b>Electronic Engineering</b> or a related technical field.</li><li><b>5+ years</b> of experience in <b>electronic design and development</b>.</li><li>Experience working in a <b>regulated industry</b> (medical devices preferred).</li><li>Knowledge of <b>Altium Designer</b> (admin/super user level is a plus).</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Technical Skills</b></p><ul><li>Strong <b>hardware development experience</b>, including <b>high-speed PCB design, digital and RF design</b>.</li><li>Experience in <b>embedded system programming</b> (C, C++); knowledge of <b>Python</b> is an advantage.</li><li>Hands-on experience with <b>embedded development platforms</b> (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32).</li><li>Knowledge of <b>DC-DC converters</b> and <b>low-power electronics</b>.</li><li>Ability to read <b>electronic schematics and datasheets</b>.</li><li>Familiarity with <b>design for manufacturing (DFM) principles</b>.</li><li>Proficiency with <b>test equipment</b>, including <b>digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, electronic loads, and power meters</b>.</li><li>Experience with <b>Agile development</b> processes in multi-disciplinary teams.</li></ul><p><b>Other Skills &amp; Abilities</b></p><ul><li>Strong <b>manual skills</b>, including <b>SMD soldering and electronic rework</b>.</li><li><b>Excellent troubleshooting skills</b> for embedded hardware and electronic systems.</li><li>Ability to <b>multitask</b> and work on <b>multiple projects</b> simultaneously.</li><li>Strong <b>organizational skills</b> with attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent <b>written and verbal communication skills</b>.</li><li>Experience working in <b>global teams</b> and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li><b>Results-driven</b> and comfortable with a <b>fast-paced work environment</b>.</li></ul><p>#LI-KD1</p>
