Job Description

This position is located in the Disposition Services Unit in Oklahoma City, OK.

Major Work Duties

  • Enter court filings and dispositional data

  • Utilize OSCN and other criminal justice resources to research missing dispositional data while ensuring completeness of state records

  • Communications with the public and law enforcement agencies that submit dispositional data in order to update state records

Level Descriptor

This is a temporary position

  • Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)

  • 19 hours weekly

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of office methods and procedures; of grammar, punctuation and spelling; of mathematics; of preparing and interpreting charts and graphs; of basic bookkeeping procedures; of inventory techniques; of telephone procedures; of standard business communications; and of current office technologies. Skill is required to operate office machines including computers. Ability is required to follow oral and written instructions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to establish and maintain filing systems; and to prepare documents, reports, and files for dissemination to external sources.

Special Requirements

  • Some positions within the Oklahoma Department of Human Services may require frequent job-related travel.

  • Some positions may require skill in typing accurately from plain copy at a rate of forty words per minute.

  • Successful applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation (commissioned positions only), and a thorough background investigation. Certain events automatically disqualify an applicant, such as, felony conviction; admission of an undetected crime that, if known, would have been a felony charge; failure to pay federal or state income tax; positive confirmed drug urine test; illegal use of a controlled substance within certain time frames.
