Register patients/specimens appropriately in the hospital information system with required information.    
Process and receive specimens into the laboratory and assist phlebotomists with managing patient collections.    
Manage the front desk area and perform various clerical duties in the laboratory.    
In the absence of the pathology assistant, function to process pathology specimens and reports as needed.    
Collect chain of custody urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests.    
Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.      
Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.     

QualificationsEducation:                
High school diploma or equivalent required. Phlebotomy certification preferred.                 

Experience:                
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical/hospital experience preferred.                

Additional Skills/Abilities:                
Must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, remain calm under stress, and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills required.
