Location: Andover, MA (Group home setting)

 

Weekly Schedule: Full-time, core hours Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. Some flexibility will be needed for evenings, weekends or holidays. 

 

Compensation range: This is an exempt/salaried full-time position. The annualized salary will be $46,800 – 52,264.

 

Group Home Details: As Residential Program Manager, you will oversee staff and, together, provide care to 8 individuals with their activities of daily living (ADL’s) such as - feeding, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, documentation, medication administration and toileting. You will also use a wheelchair van to transport individuals to appointments and community activities. This residential program is a 2-story home, so you must be comfortable going up and down stairs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and coach staff, ensure all program staff training requirements are met and maintained. Provide ongoing supervision, feedback, and performance support to team members.
  • Develop and implement Individual Support Plans for each person served in collaboration with the clinical team. Train and monitor staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Ensure quality health care for each individual - Promote a healthy lifestyle within the home.  Ensure timely scheduling and completion of all routine and follow-up medical appointments. Monitor that all medical and clinical recommendations are followed by all staff. Collaborate with all service providers; Nurses, Clinicians and Day Programming to meet behavioral and medical needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with family members and guardians. Communicate proactively and professionally regarding individual care.  Coordinate and prepare for family and team meetings as needed.  Train staff in best practices for working with families.
  • Ensure records are updated as required (medication lists, doctor’s orders and medical documentation). Oversee medication orders and administration through daily and weekly checks.
  • Provide emergency and on-call coverage as needed. Respond to incidents, manage call-outs, schedule per diem staff, complete on-call reports, and provide shift coverage if necessary.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with three years’ experience in Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities.  Bachelor's degree in human services or a related fie
