We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Continuous Improvement Assembly Special Projects/Data Collector

This role, you will be involved in... supporting activities as Cell Designs, Replenishment Material Flow, Plan for Every Part for each workstation, time studies at kitting area, Kanban set up, Lean Manufacturing Systems, Ergonomics standards, and Visual Management Systems.

This position will directly help to the C.I. manager and C.I. specialist to execute lean projects focused on improvement of assembly current processes and supply chain projects.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support continuous improvement activities with leads and operators.
  • Support cycle times studies at assembly lines and kitting area
  • Track all continuous improvement consumables (labels, tapes, magnets, 5s kit cleaner. etc.), carts, and rack inventory for all assembly lines and shop room
  • Cycle time analysis at receiving and WIP drivers to analyze wastes such as transportation, movements, overprocessing from WIP, Assembly, Blow mold, and Injection
  • Documentation of 5S standard for each station on assembly lines /description and pictures
  • Daily GEMBA at 6am and before end of shift to review and document opportunities between day and night shifts
  • Actively participate on 5s activities as part of the Assembly Continuous Improvement Transformation
  • Responsible to develop all visual management from assembly and kitting area (labels, marking, IDs for carts and containers)
  • Train operators on new requirements on the assembly and kitting (new processes implemented by C.I. Manager)
  • Document before and after pictures to develop Kaizen Forms
  • Support activities during tours and visits
  • Review all components from assembly line physically (part number, description, standard pack, MOQ to determine type of container and standard quantity per each one)
  • Lead and collaborate during annual inventory on activities such as cleaning, consumables, and inventory management to distribute all people.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements.
  • Develop Work Instructions for 6s assembly operations.
  • Continuous Improvement training on new improvements/kaizen
  • Layout updated as needed (manually) on Assembly and kitting.
  • Mark equipment carts and machines with tape (visual management system at kitting and assembly)
  • Recommends and implements upgrades to existing equipment at assembly lines and kitting
  • Kaizen Documentation

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Computer skills: proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Math Skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Able to perform any job on shop floor.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, work with little or no supervision, and communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Assembly experience on the standard processes
