Job Description

Senior Manager, Corporate Communications for Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO). May work remotely, reporting to our HQ loc in Dulles, VA. Lead team to develop, manage & implement strategies to build co reputation; foster engagement, & help attract top talent. Lead in design & implementation of structured program for communications with trade & industry press, analysts, & relevant market influencers including mainstream press. Develop & implement annual communication plan that is executed through multiple channels (web, emails, meetings & newsletters). Craft new ways to engage with airline industry & manage events team to execute conferences, programs, internal events & customer working groups both virtually & in-person. People & budget management of Communications & Events team. Write, approve, & distribute press releases & relevant responses to media inquiries. Monitor industry developments & create opportunities to highlight co & capabilities in press articles/blogs. Report on news, social, & press activities, results, & plans. Promote ATPCO’s annual event. Implement & execute events. Oversee internal communications strategy / editorial calendar. Little domestic and international travel is involved. Requires a portfolio of work relevant to required experience and skills. Requires communications skills. Wage range: $140,000 to $184,000 annually. Must have Bachelor’s in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field; 4 years exp in communications or PR in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry and required skills. Alternatively, have 6 years exp in communications or PR in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry; and required skills. Requires the following skills (4 years exp) in: Running events and reporting/tracking ROI metrics in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry; Developing external comms strategies to support brand, products, and thought leadership; and skills (2 yrs exp) in: Developing internal comms strategies to support brand, products, and thought leadership; Managing C-Suite executive(s) communications strategy; Using marketing principles including target segmentation, value proposition, positioning, and brand strategy.
