Chief Financial Officer -Global Functions, Operations & Technology Reports to: Citi's Chief Financial Officer
Citi’s Global Functions, Operations and Technology (O&T) groups centralize critical operations, all technology functions, and global functions including Finance and Risk. This expansive scope is reported in Citi’s Corporate Other segment and covers nearly 50% of Citi’s total expense base, making O&T a pivotal driver of efficiency and strategic enablement across the firm.

Reporting directly to Citi's Chief Financial Officer, this is a career-defining opportunity to serve as the strategic financial architect for Citi’s Global Functions division. We are seeking a visionary leader to co-pilot the business, transcending traditional finance to shape long-term strategy, drive transformational change, and unlock new vectors of growth.
As the CFO of Global Functions, Operations & Technology , you will partner with the executive management team, acting as a trusted advisor to the Global Functions, Operations & Technology organization. You will be empowered to influence the strategic direction.
Core Mandates:
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership:
- Strategic Architect & Co-Pilot: Serve as the lead financial architect and strategic co-pilot to the Functions Head, shaping long-term strategy and translating it into actionable financial plans that drive exceptional performance and achieve business objectives.
- Primary Financial Counsel: Act as the primary financial counsel to senior leadership, guiding pivotal decisions related to target setting, investment prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Representation: Represent the financial integrity and strategic vision of the Global Functions, O&T units in high-stakes negotiations and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, the Board, and regulators.
2. Transformation & Innovation:
- Modernization Champion: Champion a culture of innovation by leading the modernization of the finance function. Drive the strategic adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to unlock predictive insights, enhance operational efficiency, and build a world-class, digitally-enabled finance organization.
- Large-Scale Change Leadership: Lead and execute large-scale change initiatives, partnering closely with Technology and other Finance disciplines to re-engineer financial processes for greater agility, scalability, and insightful decision-making.
- Forward-Thinking Agenda: Challenge the status quo and drive a forward-thinking agenda that anticipates the future of finance and its evolving role within Global Functions.
3. Financial Stewardship & Performance Optimization:
- Sophisticated Expense Management: Orchestrate a sophisticated expense management strategy that meticulously balances strategic investments supporting business growth initiatives with rigorous financial discipline to maximize profitability and shareholder return.
- Financial Narrative Leadership: Lead the financial narrative for the Corporate Other externally disclosed segment, overseeing robust forecasting, strategic planning, and insightful analytics that clearly illuminate performance drivers and guide strategic adjustments.
- Robust Control Environment: Uphold and continuously enhance a robust control environment, ensuring the firm's reputation and financial integrity are safeguarded by embedding comprehensive risk assessment and compliance into the core of all business decisions.
4. Executive Leadership & Talent Development:

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within a global financial services organization, adept at managing complex relationships across matrixed organizations.
