ABOUT THE JOB

Olivia Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Walk-In Clinic! This is a full-time position working 72 hours per pay period. The Walk-In Clinic RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment and triage.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates assessment data and identifies Emergency Severity Index (ESI) level.
  • Implements a plan of care with identified outcomes for the patient in collaboration with the patient, family/designated caregiver, and interdisciplinary team.
  • Completes timely and comprehensive patient documentation.
  • Assists with prioritization of patient care in Walk-In Clinic.
  • Collaborates with Walk-In Clinic staff, ER staff, and Patient Access staff to identify process improvement initiatives related to the triage process.
  • Applies Evidence Based Practice and Quality of Care Standards to nursing practice.
  • Demonstrates stewardship of organizational resources and applies to nursing practice.
  • Connects the practice of nursing to service area/organization initiatives through committee/project participation and attendance of service area/organization meetings.

ABOUT YOU

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in professional nursing
  • Current RN licensure in good standing in the State of Minnesota
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Emergency Nursing preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve to make decisions
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • ACLS Certification (or able to obtain within 6 months)
  • CPR Certification (or able to obtain within 6 months)
  • Ability to delegate to others within their certification or licensure
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
