The global tax landscape continue to evolve and every day jurisdictions are enacted new tax laws and reporting requirements. As Director of Global Tax you will have the opportunity to implement and report on enacted legislation. Pillar 2 and Country by Country Reporting are two examples. The role will provide tremendous opportunity to continue to grow in tax technical and tax accounting skills and provide you the opportunity to be of a high performing team.
Responsibilities include: 1) Lead all Public Country by Country Reporting external reporting and compliance requirements; 2) Support the global Pillar 2 (“P2”) calculation; 3) Develop processes and procedures to further enhance the P2 calculation in partnership with P2 lead; 4) Ensure WDesk is complete and accurate for the quarterly and annual disclosures; 5) Support Global Tax functions relating to various tax initiatives; 6) Lead various ad hoc projects. This individual should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capability, knowledge of ASC 740 and solid U.S. GAAP accounting knowledge. This individual will also be able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with conflicting due dates. This role will manager at least one direct report
- Lead new tax requirement for Public Country by Country Reporting, with first filing expected December 1, 2024; manage external filing requirements, implement new process and ensure compliance with controls
- Support Pillar 2 Tax Planning and Tax Operations Leads with a primary focus of data gathering, data analytics and modeling using in-house acquired software solutions
- Support controversy matters as they pertain to Public Country by Country Reporting and Pillar 2
- Liase with external auditors during progression of audit
- Support Tax Planning and Tax Operations Leads relating to the various strategic initiatives as well as acquisition/integration planning.
- Oversee Tax external reporting requirements ensuring all tax disclosures are prepared timely and accurately.
- Lead key projects such as transaction cost analysis among others

Required Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 10+ years tax experience in a large corporation and/or large public accounting firm
- CPA
- Masters in Taxation preferred
- Hands on working knowledge of HFM, SAP, OneSource, WDdesk
- Strong ASC-740 technical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior members of the organization
- General knowledge across accounting processes, controls & compliance
- Knowledge of OECD’s Pillar II Directive and Public Country by Country Reporting requirements
- Experience with Financial Modeling, PowerPoint and Excel

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
