Aerospace & Defence Sales Manager (d/f/m)

An exciting role has been created to further develop and expand our Druck Aerospace pressure sensor business within the European region. Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts and relationships, whilst also having a strong focus on developing new business with new customers within the Aerospace and Defence industries. Markets covered will include both Commercial and Military Aviation, capturing Ground Test, Flight Test and Program business, as well as adjacent markets within Space and Defence (Land and Sea) and other targeted sensor OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) aligned with the Aerospace industry.

It is essential that the individual is a strong team player, capable of working by themselves and within a team. This role will be home based within Germany, with the expectation that 70% of the time will be spent travelling either domestically or within other European countries.
This role is a customer facing position, so you will be expected to:
Be a self-starter, capable of making connections and developing new business opportunities.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with customer decision makers and with our internal team.
Be fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
Have previous experience of selling technical products into the Aerospace and Defence industries.
Have an excellent technical ability to understand the customers’ application needs to find a product solution.
Develop pipeline and secure orders for Druck products within a specified geographical region in Europe.
Be able to develop a strong business case to justify the expenditure to proceed, seeking committee approval.
Manage the entire sales process, including accurate forecasting via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, SFDC Deal Machine.
Able to close out orders within the specified time frame, meeting and exceeding operating plan.
Be the focal point of contact for the customer, able to handle simple and complex situations, able to pull upon the correct internal functions to provide responses in a timely manner.
Co-ordinate the management of contract negotiations with the customer and with our own legal team.
Drive pricing increases and negotiations.
Provide ‘voice of customer’ requirements to the product company for future product developments.
Expected experience / qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience within a direct sales role.
