Field Application Chromatography Specialist - Remote, Mid-Atlantic (PA or MD)

As the Field Application Specialist, you will be responsible for offering product expertise, application knowledge, and technical support along each step of the customer's process. The main missions are to ensure successful design, validation, and implementation of our products, by supporting sales on product design, product positioning, and demonstration, and supporting customers on application development work, initial set-up, and training.
What you will accomplish together with us
Generate visibility and customer awareness and advise local customers on Sartorius' innovative chromatography technologies
Technical and process-related support for external and internal customers
Accountable for the customer experience with the product (e.g. advice on applications)
Conduct technical training, experiments, and demonstrations in theory and practice for external and internal customers
Conduct process optimizations at customer site
Participate in key conferences and give presentations
Work closely with R&D, Marketing, sales, and operations
What will convince us
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology or comparable qualification in the field of life science
3+ years of professional experience with process chromatography media, hardware, and components in the biopharma industry and 2+ years of experience with purification of biomolecules using chromatography, ideally with both membrane- and resin-based technologies and 2+ years of experience with purification of biomolecules using chromatography, ideally with both membrane- and resin-based technologies
Knowledge of continuous downstream processing is desirable
Working experience in resin selection, Column packing, and in GMP environment is a plus
Knowledge of regulatory requirements is a plus
High technical understanding of the bioprocessing industry and ability to provide robust and efficient solutions
Proactive, customer-focused, and entrepreneurial thinking
Willingness to travel regularly within the territory around 25% and 10% domestic and international travel
