PGH is now hiring an AOS III – Staffing Coordinator to join it’s growing team. This role is responsible for inputting and developing staffing schedules for the nursing department on site and ensuring appropriate staffing levels at PGH. What is Piedmont Geriatric Hospital?
PGH is a 123-bed, gero-psychiatric hospital, operated by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). PGH is Virginia’s only state Mental Health Facility solely dedicated to evaluation and treatment of persons aged 65 and older. The goal of care is to facilitate discharge to a less restrictive setting by assisting patients to improve and/or maintain their physical, mental and social functioning.

PGH is located in the picturesque rural setting of the Southside region of Virginia. PGH is just 60 miles from the state capital (Richmond), 65 miles from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and 144 miles from the waves of Virginia Beach.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience using MS Office Suite is required
Experience working in a secretarial, administration assistant, or similar position required

Additional Considerations

Knowledge in varying levels of healthcare function and staffing needs preferred
Experience with Staffing/Scheduling preferred
Experience with Automated Data Systems is preferred
Experience in handling confidential and sensitive matters is preferred
