The Role: 

Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Part Time QA Analytical Chemist I to join our team.

Shift: Part Time Hours; Saturday to Monday 7:00am-3:30pm. 

 

The QA Chemist is responsible for conducting QA testing and will provide analytical support to production of our Micro-contamination control and membrane products as well as for R&D development.  The QA chemist will prepare and test samples using Ion Chromatography, TOC, FTIR, NVR, Karl Fischer and ICP-MS. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

• Work in a clean room environment to conduct routine QA product testing of filtration and membrane products from manufacturing.  

•  Follow and document standard operating procedures for conducting required tests. 

• Prepare samples for analysis and load instrumentation. 

•  Analyze and interpret test data, maintain documentation of test operation and ensure data quality and integrity. 

•  Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shoot equipment. 

• Remove and dispose of waste chemicals in accordance with company established safety procedures. 

• Handle requests appropriately and in a timely manner. 

What We Seek: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline 

• Strong internship/co-op experience in a related field or 6 months-2 years of laboratory experience. 

• Strong scientific approach and high attention to detail. 

• Ability to collaborate and successfully work in a team environment. 

• Able to work independently and follow established priorities. 

Outstanding Candidates Will Have: 

• Any experience running analytical instrumentation is a plus. 

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills will elevate a candidate. 

• Previous cleanroom experience is preferred but not required.
