Accounting Clerk - Georgetown University

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Accounting Clerk will be overseeing the day-to-day accounts payable process. This role monitors invoices processing through the invoicing system and reconciling invoices as they are recognized on the general ledger.

Job Responsibilities

• Weekly reconciliation and review of Food Cost results with Director of Purchasing and Location Controller
• Maintaining electronic and physical invoice files and overseeing off premise storage
• Compiling monthly expenses by account type and other criteria
• Assist with daily cash deposits
• Weekly safe checks to include ordering change
• Responsible for armored car deposit pick up
• Assist with office supply orders

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-3 years of high-volume AP experience ($20M per year), is organized with a strong attention to detail, has a minimum intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel and is able to filter data using vlookups and pivot tables, and has a desire to grow within the department.
