Product Manager for Tooling and Infrastructure

The company is located in Paris, France. The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit invented and developed by Alice & Bob and its academic partners : the Schrödinger cat qubit. The crux of this qubit is its astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously. We already demonstrated experimentally the exponential suppression of bit-flip errors.

This young startup was launched in February 2020. In a very short time, it will double its team to meet this major challenge!

Alice&Bob raised 27M€ in 2022 to support its growth.

Responsibilities

At Alice&Bob we are building a quantum computer through the hard work of a talented physics team. They use many tools day to day, but none are as important that the one they use to access and drive the experiments. This tool is a key to our success and building it right means a strong leverage in the race to quantum computing.

We need a senior product manager for tooling and infra to drive that effort. This role will work in close collaboration with

• the dedicated development team in charge of it (7 people)
• the physicists who are the primary customers (15 people)
• the cloud development team (target : 5 people) which integrated it in their roadmap

Requirements

Product management

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) with B2B product management discipline: agile rituals, strategic frameworks
• Proven track record of success when it comes to stakeholder management, especially on planning and execution of roadmaps
• Capability to have meaningful architecture discussion with technical teams

Other

• A deep curiosity for quantum computing and its potential for changing the world
• Scientific academic background is preferred. At minimum a strong willingness to understand quantum computing and physics is required
• Fluent in English

• Familiarity with quantum computing and physics
• Data driven and data curious
• Knows how to successfully onboard a complex project
