Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. JOB SUMMARY:
Cox Communications is looking for a Data Analyst II who is incredibly curious about pricing analytics, system capability building and continuous improvement. This role will support and influence our pricing operations execution and decisioning through analyzing company/competitor pricing, promotion, and product offers. The Data Analyst will also support continual pricing tool, catalog and process capability expansion, testing efforts and execution of pricing assets. The candidate will work closely with teams across the company including Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Product, Technology, and others.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serve as a pricing and promotion expert reporting to the Manager of Pricing Operations.
Serve as subject matter expert for decisioning and personalization efforts for agent offer recommendation tools.
Develop framework to analyze effectiveness of offer recommendations, strategy rules and processes; provide insights to strategy teams for improvements.
Conduct extensive analysis around effectiveness of offer pricing, customer/product migration and churn.
Develop, update, and maintain queries in SQL environment for analysis and ongoing reports and dashboards.
Identify patterns, correlations, and trends to develop a data story
Represent Customer Pricing in various cross-functional work-streams.
Work with management to develop and implement product price strategies for various markets, channels and customer segments.
Develop innovative methods and tools for reviewing, analyzing, forecasting and presenting on pricing performance metrics.
Understand the causes of financial and competitive market trends and anomalies.
Articulate findings and recommendations to internal customers with ease.
Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of CCI's products.
Eager to develop custom software tools to solve operational problems and enhance operational processes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
BA/BS degree in a related discipline (i.e. engineering, computer science, business analytics, etc) with 2 years of experience required in related field (i.e. pricing, technology, business analytics, marketing analytics, or product management); OR 6 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Strong analytical/financial analysis background
Proficiency with quantitative tools including Excel, Tableau, Thoughtspot, etc
Proficiency with analytical and coding languages such as SQL, Python, Java, etc.
Must possess an internal client service orientation
Strong communication and presentation skills required
Comfort setting direction and drawing insight from multiple (and often unclear) data sources
Strong aptitude to learn new emerging technologies to develop automated scripts and custom apps to help solve operational challenges
Preferred
MS degree + up to 2 years of experience preferred with an emphasis on quantitative analysis and operations (i.e. engineering, computer science, business analytics, etc.)
Work experience in telecommunications or a subscription-based business is preferred
Experience with data modeling and pricing analytics is preferred
Experience in decisioning engines (e.g., Pega Systems)
Advanced level in at least one of: SQL, Python, Java, Tableau, PowerPivot
Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake
